Gosarian Mountains
The Gosarian Mountains occupy the northern horn of Myrddyn, with the most prominent mountains following a winding line that follows the western coast. There is a wide coastal plain to the west that is a rich grassland which turns into forests as it approaches the foot of the range. It begins to rise quickly into jagged hills and rocky shelves and protrusions.
The spine of the range is tall, but not so grand that it becomes alpine. The mountains that dot the line are roughly the same height, but there is a noticeable dip in the center where lower ranges spill out to the southeast. This territory is very craggy and rocky, showing the same kind of shelves and outcroppings as found on the eastern side. Throughout the range, a few prominent mountains stand out from their surroundings, stubbornly refusing to be eroded. There are steep valleys in the surrounding areas, with crevices and bowls scattered around. This area is mostly evergreens, with a few hardwoods finding a friendly spot here and there.
The northern tail dwindles into a hilly range that draws a line down to the sea at the point of the horn as it becomes the Namerai Ridge. This line of hills are little more than a rise, but there are occasional rocky outcrops that point to their origins in the high mountains to the south.
The southern head of the range bites the upper ranges of the Caerlough Mountains, keeping it's height and ruggedness. There are no easy passages through this area, but it is really the only way to pass between these two ranges.
